Locating My Priorities
If we want to focus on the most important things in life, we must learn to value the things that are most important. Our time, energy and resources will go to the activities we value most. If we treasure wisdom, family, health, and success, that is where our heart (and everything else) will go. If we value folly, self, indulgence, and mediocrity, that is where our heart (and everything else) will go.
Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Makes the point of Proverbs 7:1-4 very clearly, "My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you; keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye; bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call insight your intimate friend".
